Moist, juicy and tender lemon pepper chicken.
If you are looking for some chicken recipes I’ve got them here. I was thinking about lemon pepper chicken to make for a long time. So. I’ve decide to give it a try and see if I’ll like it.
They came out perfectly juicy and moist which I like. I was scared that lemon and pepper will be so dominant but I was wrong. Actually, at first I thought that lemon pepper chicken will taste very sour. However, the lemon gave this chicken moistness. They were not sour at all. However, if you prefer more lemon flavor just simply add more lemon juice after baking.
I also added some garlic powder and basil to give more flavor. They were definitely the best chicken drumsticks I had lately. However, my first–> lemon pepper chicken. I usually try with different seasonings and herbs. But this time I decided to make something totally new.
I wasn’t sure if my children will like lemony chicken but I was wrong. They liked it. Probably I will be making these drumsticks more often at my home. I like to experiment in the kitchen. You never know how it will taste. In the end the taste can be incredible. After my lemon pepper chicken I will know that I will definitely make them again.
Lemon Pepper Chicken
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice,
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp. basil, dried
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Mix lemon juice with olive oil, basil, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Marinate chicken and leave it in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
- Bake for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
If you would like more lemon juice just add more after baking to the chicken.
